De Decker affrontera au tour suivant le vainqueur du duel entre le Gallois Jonny Clayton (PDC 5) et l'Allemand Martin Schindler (PDC 18).


Trois têtes de séries ont déjà pris la porte à Blackpool. L'Anglais Luke Humphries, N.1 mondial et vainqueur de la dernière édition, a été battu 10-8 par le Néerlandais Gian van Veen (PDC 22). Les Anglais Nathan Aspinall (PDC 7) et Robb Cross (PDC 11) ont aussi été éliminés.
