Harvey Elliott (9e) et Dominik Szoboszlai (45e+1) ont permis aux 'Reds' de mener à la pause. Yasin Ayari (32e) avait provisoirement égalisé.


En seconde période, l'ancien Unioniste Kaoru Mitoma (69e) et Jack Hinshelwood (85e) ont renversé la situation en faveur de Brighton.


Liverpool est déjà assuré de remporter le championnat depuis plusieurs semaines. Les 'Reds' restent bloqués à 83 points, 12 de plus que leur dauphin, Arsenal. Brighton (58 points) occupe la huitième position.
