De 29-jarige Gilis, het tweede reekshoofd, verloor in de halve eindstrijd in vier sets (11-8, 11-5, 9-11 en 11-3) van de Amerikaanse Sabrina Sobhy (PSA 36). Het was voor Gilis haar eerste toernooi in 2026.


Haar zus Tinne Gilis (PSA 9) nam niet deel in Cleveland. Zij opent volgende week haar seizoen in de PSA World Tour in het Tournament Of Champions in New York City.
