Bij de laatste acht wacht onze landgenoot een Spaanse tegenstander. Hij neemt het op tegen de winnaar van het duel tussen Daniel Rincon (ATP 228) en Pablo Llamas Ruiz (ATP 386).

Kimmer Coppejans is de enige landgenoot op de hoofdtabel van het Spaanse graveltoernooi. Hij neemt in Murcia deel dankzij zijn beschermde ranking. Vorig jaar stond de geboren Oostendenaar zeven maanden aan de kant na een elleboogoperatie.
